Medical Advice

  • Pregnant women are advised to consult with their doctor before using the hot tub.

  • Persons with heart diseases and circulation problems, skin conditions, persons who are immunosuppressed, subject to fits, or taking drugs affecting the cardiovascular or nervous systems, should not use the hot tub without first seeking medical advice.

  • People with skin, ear, genital or other body infections, open sores, or wounds should not use the hot tub because of the possibility of spreading infection.

  • The heat of the hot tub water speeds up the effects of alcohol and can cause sleepiness, dizziness and unconsciousness.

  • Avoid using the hot tub immediately after a heavy meal and avoid entering the hot tub water immediately after exercising due to the risk of further strain on the heart.

  • Users should not exceed 20 minute immersions at a time and wait an hour before re-entering the hot tub

Practical Advice

  • Strictly no smoking in, around or near the hot tub.

  • No food or drink in the hot tub- plastic glasses are provided to drink outside on the patio area

  • Shower with just water before using the hot tub as this washes away many of the common skin bacteria and removes lotions, deodorants, creams, fake tans etc which affect water quality

  • Shower with soap and water after use.

  • Ensure no contaminants ie. bubble bath, alcohol, oils etc are placed in the water as this can upset the chemical balance of the water and can result in allergic reactions

  • Do not immerse your head in the water as it increases your risk of drowning due to suction below the water line.

  • Brush any grit or dirt off your feet before entering the hot tub and avoid introducing any contaminants like mud, stones, grass or grit into the hot tub water.

  • When leaving the hot tub leg muscles may be relaxed enough to make you unsteady.

  • Take care on the decking by the hot tub as water from the tub can cause it to be slippery.

  • When not in use make sure the cover is on and secured.

  • Do not lie, sit, stand or jump on the hot tub cover at any time.

  • Never use glass near/in the hot tub as broken glass can cause a risk to people in barefoot and is very difficult to see within the hot tub water.

  • Do not use any electrical appliances near/in the hot tub.

  • If any fault or damage occurs with the hot tub please contact Siwan at the earliest convenient moment.  .
